The well balanced flavors and smoothness in the mouth, slightly sweet undernotes and fruitiness make this autumn flash the most readily palatable of all Darjeeling teas. Less floral and delicate than the opening flushes, autumn flavors tend to be more deeply fruity with notes of ripe grapes and berries. It is a splendid tea, a pleasure to drink with or without added milk. Make sure to steep it in cooler than boiling water. Boiling water will scorch the delicate leaves and can make it taste metallic. It should taste fruity and creamy.
