Ginger Sencha is a warming blend of organic ginger root and organic Japanese sencha. A great green tea for the cold winter months and to help settle an upset stomach.
Story, Folklore, History...
Japanese Tea:The history of this tea's components dates back over hundreds of centuries. Ginger's current name comes from the Middle English gingivere, but ginger dates back over 3,000 years to the Sanskrit srngaveram meaning "horn root" with reference to its appearance. The word "sencha" literally means "decocted tea" in Japanese, referring to the method that the tea beverage is made from. Unlike matcha, sencha uses the whole dried tea leaves steeped in water. It is the most popular tea in Japan, and represents about 80 percent of the tea produced in Japan.

This is a wonderful tea, great for upset tummys or any time. I will drink a pot on my own. with nothing in it.

More ginger will be perfect. Was excepting a bigger punch of it but the tea is good. Light and smooth.

I might be the first one to say this but I kind of wish there was more ginger bite to this one. The tea is very smooth and flavorful and there is a ginger warmth to it. I am of the ilk that wants ginger to bite me and hard. Don’t get me wrong, this is a really good tea. But I wouldn’t mind if more ginger happened to slip in the mix

This tea really packs a punch! Love the ginger! There is quite a bit of it so I would only recommend it to a ginger lover!

My only complaint is this tea really isn’t forgiving if you steep it too long or if the water is too hot. Yikes!

The quality is good but there is a bit too much ginger for my liking. This is a good tea for someone who really loves ginger.
