Discover a new matcha latte
Matcha is wonderfully smooth, creamy, slightly sweet and grassy. It’s delicious in its pure form (with water) and it makes a stellar, even creamier tea latte.
Read MoreRukeri Estate sits high in Rwanda's western hills where elevation and volcanic soil slow the leaf and concentrate what ends up in the cup. The result is a black tea built for strength without harshness. It's full-bodied and unmistakably malty from the first sip with enough backbone to stand up to a splash of milk and hold its shape through a full pot. A trace of sweet pepper lifts the middle of the cup, before it settles into currant, toasted bread, and a rounded edge of caramel. A light citrus note closes things out keeping the tea bright rather than heavy despite its body. Brew it strong and take it with milk if you like it thick or black to let the currant and toasted-bread notes carry through on their own. A single-estate tea so what's in the cup is exactly what came off the Rukeri hillside.
