Our organic cacao nibs are simply shelled cocoa beans, crushed and gently dried with warm — never hot — air to keep their character intact. Made from the prized Ecuadorian Arriba bean, they carry a deep, powerful chocolate aroma and a pleasantly semi-bitter flavour with fruity depth, exactly as pure cacao should taste. If you like a mellower, roastier note, they take beautifully to further roasting. Crunchy but never tooth-crackingly hard, they're endlessly useful: eat them by the handful, scatter over smoothies, yogurt, oatmeal or ice cream, stir into hot chocolate and lattes, or fold into brownies, cookies and energy bars for real chocolate intensity with no added sugar.
