Chamomile is an herbal tisane that was used thousands of years ago in ancient Egypt for its curative properties. Upon infusion, the whole flower buds give off a strong floral fragrance and a deep yellow color. This soothing tea is widely known for its calming and relaxing properties, making it a perfect tea to drink before bedtime. It also helps greatly with digestion and to calm an upset stomach. Caution should be used for those allergic to ragweed.

Story, Folklore, History...

The name Chamomile comes from the Greek word meaning “ground apple.” Its history dates back at least to ancient Egypt, where Chamomile tea was prescribed as a cold remedy. The Romans enjoyed it as a beverage, as well as an incense.

The Plant’s Physician:
Not only does Chamomile have amazing healing properties for hundreds of human ailments, but it is also known as the plant’s physician. Plants that are around chamomile mysteriously benefit from its curative properties. It has a remarkable ability to keep plants healthy if planted near it, and even revive sick plants. “Nothing will keep a garden so healthy, as plenty of chamomile”.
