Golden Tonic

Rich, smooth, warming and comforting, this delicious turmeric tonic is perfect for golden milk lattes.

Golden Tonic

A sweet, spicy and warming tonic with a smooth earthy flavour. Golden Tonic is delectable on its own, and comes into its own with milk, coconut milk or any nut milk and a little sweetener.

Five ingredients, no filler. Turmeric carries the earthiness and the colour, ginger brings heat, cinnamon rounds it into sweetness, and licorice deepens the whole cup without any added sugar. The black pepper is the traditional finishing touch, the pairing that has followed turmeric through Ayurvedic kitchens for centuries. Steeped long and strong it makes a proper golden milk latte; steeped lighter it's a clean, gently spiced cup for the afternoon.

Naturally caffeine free, so it works as easily at nine at night as nine in the morning.

Please note: Contains licorice — individuals with hypertension should limit consumption.

How to make a golden milk latte
Simmer 1 tsp Golden Tonic in 1 cup of milk or plant milk for 5–10 minutes, whisking. Strain, then sweeten to taste with honey or maple syrup. For a stronger cup, steep in a splash of boiling water first, then top with hot milk.

Great as iced tea
Brew double strength, cool, then pour over ice with a squeeze of lemon or a splash of coconut milk.

I bought this tea a while ago and didn’t really drink it for a while. I’ve recently started doing little tea lattes in the afternoons at work, and I figured I’d try to do a golden latte.

It’s SO GOOD. It’s perfect when the office is cold, fun to make lattes with my coworkers for a little break, and it’s delicious with some frothed milk (of any kind).

I’m not overly keen on its flavor on its own, but I’m a milk in my tea kinda person anyway. If you like turmeric lattes, this is perfect!
