Herbal teas for digestion

You’re finishing a special dinner and you’re stuffed. Really stuffed.

But there is dessert; and it’s a full-scale gelato bar flanked by trays of mini doughnuts in bespoke flavours. You dive in (at least the doughnuts are mini?) and for those five to seven minutes, you are in heaven. Until you’re not, because you just went from really stuffed to ‘Is it acceptable to loosen my belt a little, if my sweater covers it?’ 

The answer is probably not(!) and the remedy is herbal tea.

Three digestive powerhouses

So, what should you look for in a digestive tea?

To recover from the pain, bloating, (regret) and overall discomfort of occasional overeating, choose blends with peppermint, ginger and chamomile.

All three herbs soothe the stomach and improve digestion by relaxing the stomach muscles that allow painful digestive gas to pass. This prevents spasms/contracting and encourages digestion.
