Sakura Sencha

Sakura, a cherry blossom is the national flower of Japan. It represents a time of renewal and optimism. The pops of pink mark the ending of winter and signify the beginning of spring. Due to their quick blooming season, cherry blossoms also symbolize the transience of life, a major theme in Buddhism.

Sakura Sencha captures the essence of the Japanese cherry blossom. The blend of Sencha green tea, pink and white flower petals, rosehips and cherry and honey flavours results in exquisite tea. Upon first opening the package, one is immediately enveloped by the lovely appearance and alluring fragrance. The same sensation repeats itself when the tea is brewed, making for an all-around satisfying experience.

Story, Folklore, History...

Japanese Tea:Cherry blossoms, or sakura, are the first sign of spring in Japan. Each year, legions of “bloom watchers' eagerly travel to various locations in Japan in the hopes of arriving at just the right time to enjoy a spectacular show of delicate pink and white colors and inhale the soft, subtle fragrance during the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. Teas featuring sakura are usually served in place of regular green tea at wedding ceremony and other auspicious occasions.
