Rolled oats, or old-fashioned oats, are oat groats that have gone through a steaming and flattening process. Shanti's organic regular rolled oats are steamed, rolled and lightly toasted. Nutty and mild in flavor, rolled oats are semi-firm uncooked and tender when cooked. Oats cook in equal parts of milk or water, and in approximately 7-10 minutes or until tender. Rolled oats can be used to make oatmeal but can also be added to goods like cookies, cakes, muffins and bread.
