Ceylon Rainforest - Lotus Teabag Collection
Our Ceylon Rainforest Green is very similar in leaf style to our classic Ceylon Forest Green, but greener in flavour and aroma. It has a full body with a lively and luxurious vegetal character which tends towards a Japanese green tea, but is considerably more mellow and smooth. Definitely a treat for those who favor the serene and uplifting qualities of Ceylon green teas.

Story, Folklore, History
Sinharaja Forest Reserve is a national park and a biodiversity hotspot in Sri Lanka. It is of international significance and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
This hilly virgin rainforest, part of the Sri Lanka lowland rain forests ecoregion, was saved from the worst of commercial logging by its inaccessibility, and was designated a World Biosphere Reserve in 1978 and a World Heritage Site in 1988. Because of it’s colonial history Sri Lanka has endured many generations of ecological exploitation and mis-management. As an Island with a unique topical geography and diverse climates, the ecology of the country is said to be highly endemic, meaning there is a high number of species who cannot survive in any other area in the world.
